Labour Business was delighted to participate in a lunchtime briefing as part of John McDonnell’s first Regional Economic Conference on February 4th in Liverpool. Hamish Sandison, Chair of Labour Business, was joined by Executive Committee member Frederique Prevost and strategy consultant Ed Will at a packed session, which included contributions from Peter Dowd MP, Shadow Financial Secretary to the Treasury, and local business leader and party member Mike Matthews.
The Shadow Chancellor, John McDonnell, is convening a series of public events to broaden the debate around economics in Britain. A range of experts will present their views at a number of events across the country, with questions from members of the public.
Labour Business is delighted to take part in this series of conference across the country.
Our first conference took place in Liverpool on February, 4th. With the collaboration of "Labour Means Business" we organised a stand and a lunch-time roundtable to help Labour Business gain visibility in the regions and bring our expertise on Business Policies.
Our roundtable proved fantastically successful, with over 40 participants and some extremely valuable comments. Those will feed into a summary of all our interventions.
