From the web
Technological advances have for years been changing the way that we work and do business. This crisis has accelerated the change in working practice and so offers opportunities and threats to business and workers.
Labour Digital aims to make real change through evidence-led research and meaningful engagement on tech policy.
Labour Digital develops policy ideas around the use of new technology as a positive influence. It is chaired by Derren Jones MP, who is also the new chair of the Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Committee.
It has a competition to listen to and develop the best policy ideas in the Labour movement for how technology can be used to transform Britain for the better. Details about the competition and a link to submit your ideas can be found here https://labourdigital.co.uk/blog/2020-competition-launch
Labour Digital also hosts webinars. They host them through their Facebook page and are available to watch afterwards. The last webinar looked at competition laws, the next one is on technology innovation in public services featuring perspectives from startups through to industry leaders, and this will be taking place 28 May, 5-6pm.
